Twice each year State Representative Avery Bourne hosts a series of Coffee & Conversation events throughout the 95th District. At these casual events, she supplies the coffee and engages in conversations with constituents across the District.
“I enjoy these opportunities to talk one-on-one or in small groups with the people I represent so I can learn about their priorities and the issues that are important to them,” said Bourne. “This February I made eight stops in different communities within the 95th District and spoke with a total of almost 100 people. Popular items discussed included FOID and CCL delays, pending legislation that would require fingerprinting of FOID card owners, bills that seek to attack parental rights, and issues associated with pensions and taxes. I appreciate all who came out to share their opinions and suggestions during this traveling office hours tour. I will launch another tour in the summer after the spring session in Springfield is completed.”
